Osvaldo Artimagnella

PhD supervisor: Prof. Antonello Mallamaci, Laboratory of Cerebral Cortex Development

Summary of career/studies:

I got my Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Catania in 2013.
Then, I moved to Trieste, where I got my Master's degree in Neuroscience in March of 2016. During my Master's degree training in SISSA at the Laboratory of Cerebral Cortex Development, I studied some aspects of Foxg1 gene functions on neuronal development. I continued this topic thanks to a SISSA Post-graduate fellowship that convinced me to join Functional and structural Genomics PhD program.
Currently, I am investigating the roles of Foxg1 in cortical neurons during embryonic and post-natal development via lentiviral transgenesis and molecular/cellular approaches.
