Manuela Santo

PhD supervisor: Prof. Antonello Mallamaci, Laboratory of Cerebral Cortex Development

Summary of career/studies:

I got my Master's degree in Neuroscience at the University of Trieste in 2016. During this period of studies, I had the great opportunity to attend courses ranging from cellular neurobiology to physiology and pathology, getting more and more involved in the wonderful world of Nervous System. Presently I'm attending the PhD in structural and Functional genomics in the laboratory of Cortex Development of Professor Mallamaci where I'm working on a very interesting and innovative research project focused on the role of the FoxG1 transcription factor in patients affected by West Syndrome. I’m very happy about joining this group because every day I have the opportunity to be in contact with bright people sharing my same passion.
