Iram Shehzadi

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Zoology from the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad (AJK), Pakistan. I then pursued a Master’s in Zoology with a specialization in Molecular Biology at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. During my Master’s, I conducted research analyzing the genetic and non-genetic risk factors associated with preeclampsia, which further strengthened my interest in molecular genetics. Over time, I developed a strong interest in molecular mechanisms, particularly in epigenetics and epitranscriptomics. This interest led me to join the Laboratory of Neurogenetics at SISSA, focusing on the role of epitranscriptomic regulation in brain development and neurological disorders.
