PhD supervisor: Prof. Antonello Mallamaci, Laboratory of Cerebral Cortex Development
Summary of career/studies:
I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Turin in 2019 and my master’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Trieste. I did my thesis project in the laboratory of cerebral cortex development of Professor Antonello Mallamaci where I had the opportunity to investigate translational mechanisms of FOXG1, a master regulatory gene of brain development. I decided to continue my research here at SISSA due to my interest in neuroscience, neurodevelopment and molecular biology, hoping to positively contribute to the advancement in the therapeutical field for neurodevelopmental disorders. Therefore I enrolled in the Functional and Structural Genomics in the laboratory of cerebral cortex development.
